Snowboarding is hecka expensive, but it is hella fun. The main reason I started skating is it's super cheap. I was a BMXer, but my bike got stolen, and I couldn't afford a new bike. So I started skating. being that you already have the shoes for it I suggest that you go buy a board right meow. Also I hate new eras for skating. May I suggest almost any other pair of Vans.

Sk8 highs are my favorite

I strongly disagree. I like a good, slim top, thin bottom old school shoe for skating. I've had lots of chunky shoes, but I don't like they disconnect they give, it's like drive by wire for shoes. I've had Etnies, Adios(my first non Walmart brand skate shoe), DC, and Es, even Nike, and Adidas skate shoes. but I prefer Vans over anything else for skating.

Oops. I should've specified. *Cloth Vans are terrible at actually being skate shoes.

Suede vans are really close to the top of my list. Adidas beats them for my top spot though. Any suede Vans are spectacular, but all of my cloth Vans tear super quickly if I ever skate in them. It's not usually an issue, since I've recently been more into long boarding, but still.

Also, just my opinion based on the 3 pairs of Vans with a hole in the right shoe. Ahaha. I would always recommend a pair of suede Vans though, and I loved my Sk8 highs.

Yes suede vans rock all day. especially SK8-HIs. still my favorite shows for street skating. I'm also one of those weirdos that still like 7.6" boards so what do i know.

If I had a way to get there and possibly friends to go with, I'd go in a heartbeat! Looks great from the pictures.

And before/if you ask, no my parents wouldn't drive me up there. They're not interested in cars, and they'd rather see me study than drool over cars. :( I understand though.

Hehe maybe! Sometimes I think about starting cycling or possibly owning an actual bike in the future. But then I see all the crap that happens to cyclists and bikers and I get reminded why I shouldn't.

A lot of the cyclists/bikers here are dumbasses anyway. Weaving through traffic, that biker group VS the Range Rover last year, etc.
